VRS MTClient Installation Guide
This guide will help you to complete the installation of new VRS MTClient and its controls, kindly follow the below steps to complete the installation task.
                 1) System Check
                 2) 32-bit MTClient Installation
                 3) 64-bit MTClient Installation
                 4) VRS MTClient Grammar/Speller/Foot-pedal Installation
                 5) Foot-pedal Testing

Step 1

 Check your Operating system version (32-bit or 64-bit) using below steps;

 

 Computers running Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10

  • Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, right-click Computer, and then click Properties.

    • If "64-bit Operating System" is listed next to System type, you’re running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8.

    • If "32-bit Operating System" is listed next to System type, you’re running the 32-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8.

    If you are running 32-bit system, click here to proceed.
    If you are running 64-bit system, click here to proceed.

Step 1.1

 If you are running 32-bit operating system, follow below steps;
   

 

 a) Download New MT Client version from here on your desktop.

 

 

 

 b) Double click on recently downloaded setup file "SecureXSoft MTClient-32bit.exe" to begin the installation.

 

 

 

 c) Click on "Next" button to proceed.


 

 

 

 

 d) Click "Next" button to proceed further.

 

 

 

 e) Click on "Change" button to change the location of installation folder.

 

 

 

 f) Change the location to "C:\VRS SecureXsoft SecureMT Client" as shown below and click "Ok" button.

 

 

 

 g) Changed installation path will be shown as below, click "Next" button to proceed further;
   
   h) Click "Install" button to start the installation process;
   
   i) Installation will be process as below;
   
   j) After successful installation you will see below window, click "Finish" to end the installation.
   
   k) To launch MTClient, click on below shortcut created on desktop;

Step 1.2

 If you are running 64-bit operating system, follow below steps;
   
 

 a) Download New MT Client version from here on your desktop.
 

 
 

 b) Double click on recently downloaded setup file "SecureXSoft MTClient-64bit.exe" to begin the installation.
   
   c) For further installation follow above steps c to k from Section 1.1.

VRS MTClient Grammar/Speller/Foot-pedal Installation Guide

Step 1

 Before installation, ensure Internet Explorer settings are set as below;
   
   a) Add site to Trusted Sites as shown below;
   
   
 

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Click on Tools menu

  3. Select Internet Options from the dropped menu.

  4. From the opened window, select Security Tab

  5. From the Select a zone to view or change security settings select Trusted Sites as shown below and click Sites button.
     

  6. Add site as shown below and click Close button.


     
  7. From Internet Options window ensure Trusted sites is selected and click on Custom Level button



     
  8. From the open windows ensure ActiveX option under ActiveX controls and plug-ins are "Enabled"
   

Step 2

 Use below link to install VRS MTClient Grammar, Medical Spell Checker and Foot-pedal on your system.
   
  VRSMTClient Grammer/Speller/Foot-pedal Installer
   
  After successful installation you will get Installation Complete message.

Foot-pedal Testing
   

Step 1

 Before start Foot-pedal testing, ensure Internet Explorer settings are above from VRS MTClient Grammar/Speller/Foot-pedal Installation Guide.
   

Step 2

 Use below link to start Foot-pedal testing;
   
  Click here to start
   
 
  1. After opening above link, following page will be visible;


     
  2. Click on "Select Footpedal" button to select the type of your footpedal from below window


     
  3. After selecting your foot-pedal, selection will be shown as below


 

  1. Now press the buttons on your foot-pedal to confirm the configuration. During button press, you will see the change in colors for the box mentioned for the footpedal buttons as below;

Issue of Express scribe
 

After successful installation follow the below steps:
  • First, Log out MT Client and close the interface.
  • Go to the folder where you have installed your SecureMTClient VRS. e.g., C:\Program files\SecureXsoft\VRS MTClient\
  • Open following file in notepad MTClient.exe.config
  • Scroll down and you would see following lines
    appSettings
    add key="WebServerName" value="admin.securexsoft.com" /
    add key="PlayerName" value="C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Swift Sound\Scribe\scribe.exe"
    appSettings
  • Change the path of scribe.exe to your installed path for express scribe. Normally it would be
  • C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\Scribe\scribe.exe
  • Save the file and close notepad.

Search Previous report Not opening

Compare Version fix

Follow below steps to run this patch
  • Save this exe in the folder where you have installed MTClient.
  • Run the exe by double clicking on it.
  • It would show you the extract path which would be the path where MTClient is installed
  • After the files are extracted, you can login to MTClient and check compare version.
Please close MTClient before following above steps.

Online Audio not playing in browser
 

In order to check if you PC can play online audio in IE using windows medial player. Click here

Express Scribe shows 0 duration or not able to play file
 

Download the following zip file on your PC and extract the installables. Double click on each installable and follow the setup process. Once installed you should be able to open the audio, play and see correct duration in express scribe.
